Energy Saving Rebates

Environmental responsibility and energy conservation are two of the hottest topics in foodservice today. A growing number of states, municipalities and energy companies are offering incentives to restaurant operators when they add energy-saving equipment to their restaurants. See the list below for the incentives that are currently available in locations across the United States for rebates on ICE-O-Matic equipment.

Note that the incentive programs are typically renewed on an annual basis and are subject to change at the renewal date. Download the required forms from each of the web links below. To activate the web link, press down the Control button on your keyboard and click on the Utility name.

Most of the incentives are based on the Consortium for Energy Efficiency’s (CEE) tiered level of equipment performance. The CEE uses the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI) certified production and energy consumption ratings to establish three different tiers of energy efficiency performance for ice machines to create a standard for the utility companies to establish their incentive programs. The CEE publishes a listing of the equipment within each tier or category of efficiency, making it easy to identify the models that qualify in each tier and the participating utility companies will reference the CEE tier requirements or provide a specific list of equipment (will vary by program).
